A voice for Opera

Fitah Rasendrahasina a starring role in Opera Grand Rapids鈥 production of Giacomo Puccini鈥檚 鈥淢anon Lescaut.鈥 The 17c起草社区 College junior portrays Edmondo, a young student who is a friend to the story鈥檚 hero, Des Grieux. Opera Grand Rapids artistic director Robert Lyall said that it鈥檚 uncommon for a college student to play a titled role in a professional production. But Rasendrahasina has an uncommon voice. The production hits the DeVos Performance Hall stage on Friday and Saturday, February 11-12.
