Men's Tennis

17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø finished in third place in the final MIAA regular-season standings. The Knights also gained a berth in the four-team MIAA tournament, where it defeated rival Hope in the semifinals and then fell to Kalamazoo in the final.

Senior Taylor Asfour (Grand Rapids, Mich.) was named the recipient of the MIAA’s Lawrence Green Scholar-Athlete Award and the Allen B. Stowe Memorial Award.

Women's Tennis

Fueled by a late-season eightmatch win streak, 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø took second in the MIAA regularseason standings and qualified for the four-team MIAA tournament. 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø clinched second place with an exciting 5-4 win over Kalamazoo in its regular-season finale.

Softball

RECORD: 20-20 OVERALL, 5-11 MIAA
COACH: BECKY HILGERT

17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø hit the 20-win plateau for the third time in four years. The Knights swept a regular-season doubleheader from rival Hope in late April, winning both games by a 1-0 score, marking the second year 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø swept a twin bill from the Flying Dutch.

Sophomore Anna Gernant (West Des Moines, Iowa) established a 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø single-season record for strikeouts (241) and finished fourth nationally in strikeouts- per-seven innings (11.6).

Baseball

17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø reached the four-team MIAA tournament for the fourth time in five years. Senior Colton Wolfe (Eaton Rapids, Mich.) and sophomore Jonathan Keane (Brookfield, Wis.) were both named to the All-MIAA second team. Wolfe finished the year as 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø’s career home run leader (26).

Women's Track & Field

17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø captured its 28th consecutive MIAA title, placing first at the MIAA championships (held at 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø’s Zuidema Field) with 215 points. The championship streak is the longest active streak in MIAA women’s athletics history.

At the MIAA championships, 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø took first place in seven events, led by junior Jenna Dyksen (Hawthorne, N.J.), a triple winner in the 400-meter hurdles, the 100-meter hurdles and the triple jump.

Men's Track & Field

At the MIAA championships 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø took first place in nine events, highlighted by the triple-crown performance of sophomore Brendan VanHouten (Grand Rapids, Mich.), who took first place in the hammer throw, shot put and discus, becoming just the second individual in MIAA history to achieve the feat.

At the NCAA Championships, junior Ethan Valentine (Mason, Ohio) claimed All-American honors in the 400 meters for the third straight year, placing second. Junior Andrew Philipose (Mount Prospect, Ill.) was a double All-American.

Women's Lacrosse

RECORD: 12-6-0 OVERALL, 8-0 MIAA
COACH: BLAKE BOEHM

17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø captured its second MIAA regular-season title in three years and repeated as MIAA tournament champions to return to the NCAA III Tournament for the second straight year. In the NCAA III Tournament, 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø dropped a hard-fought 14-11 decision to Mount Union University. Senior Emily Cefaratti (Hinsdale, Ill.) was named the MIAA’s Most Valuable Defender.

Men's Lacrosse

RECORD: 5-11 OVERALL, 1-6 MIAA
COACH: DAVE HOGER

17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø posted its second-highest win total in program history and concluded its season with a 10-5 conference win at Kalamazoo.

Senior Chris Griffin (Hartland, Mich.) completed his career with 101 goals, 74 assists and 175 points. He is the 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø career record holder in all three categories. Senior Joel Schaefer (Clarksville, Md.) concluded his career with 80 goals, 26 assists and 106 points. He ranks second on the 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø career list for goals and points.

Women's Golf

17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø competed in five tournaments during the spring season, highlighted by a 3-1 match-play victory over Cornerstone University in April.

Men's Golf

COACH: BRIAN BOLT

After finishing second in the MIAA fall regular-season standings, 17cÆð²ÝÉçÇø proceeded to place second in the MIAA spring tournament that determines that league’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA III Tournament. Junior John Van Noord (Troy, Mich.) qualified individually for the NCAA III Men’s Golf Championships, finishing in 121st place.
